Foundations for creating your future

Empowerment comes via responsibility

Many people live completely disempowered lives because they have not taken full responsibility for their lives. They believe that they are victims of circumstances that life throws at them. They are having victim mentality and blaming others for everything.

It is a choice that people make as to whether they want to continue living empowered or disempowered lives. No one can force them to decide to be responsible for their destiny – no one.

Take time to explore and unpack the choices of maturity and character that you are making by answering the following question-sets:

  • Teaching others vs. Being taught
    • Are you committed to teaching others (and adding value in the lives of other people) or just being taught by others?
    • What changes can you make to begin sharing with others your knowledge and skill and becoming a better teacher for others?
  • Self-evaluation vs. Self-criticism
    • Do you opt for self-criticism or self-evaluation?
    • Are you your best friend or worst enemy?
    • What changes can you make towards becoming a better evaluator of yourself?
  • Seeking unity vs. Promoting disunity
    • Are you committed to working with and understanding other people, or are you more interested in just doing things your way?
    • What changes can you make to better understand others and begin working towards unity with other people?
  • Living by faith vs. Living in fear
    • Do you take risks ‘in faith’ that things will work out for the best in the future, or do you tend to ‘play it safe’ in fear of making mistakes or upsetting other people?
    • What changes can you make to STOP exercising fear, and START exercising more faith?
  • Lifestyle governed by truth vs. Lifestyle governed by feelings
    • Are you completely honest with yourself and others in all areas of life, or do you hold yourself back just to keep the peace with others?
    • What changes can you make for you to be more honest with if you are not worried about how others would react?
  • Desiring growth and challenge vs. Desiring pleasure and happiness
    • Do you embrace challenges and look for ways to grow and develop yourself, or are you more inclined to shy away from change or challenges?
    • What changes can you make to become of greater value to others?
  • Developing self-awareness vs. Emotional reactiveness
    • Do you evaluate life and circumstances from an objective viewpoint, or are you more inclined to react emotionally to other people and the circumstances that you face?
    • What changes can you make to help you develop a greater degree of self-awareness?
